Mysterious yellow icon with "Ready"

Post by pjcard » Mon Jan 25, 2010 12:25 pm

What does this mean? I seem to get some computers that are turned off listed as "Ready" with a yellow icon. Can it be disabled?

The yellow/"Ready" state appears at start-up before any pinging has taken place. It basically means "I don't know yet" and changes to online/offline/error after the first ping has occurred.

If any entries stay yellow after the first ping (and it has timed out), then there's a problem somewhere in WoLEX. Can you verify that you have pinging enabled - and if so, could you please give me an example of one of the entry's details (ie. IP. Feel free to change the actual details as long as they stay in the same sort of format).

Trying all sorts of weird/non-standard IPs here doesn't seem to cause it to stick on its yellow state. I'll keep trying though...

Hi There, sorry it turns out that machine had got <autoping>false</autoping> in it's address book entry. Removing that results in the machine updating it's status correctly.
