Comics that produce errors

Maybe it's a good idea to have one thread for all future error reports, instead of a new thread for every little problem.

Right now, these don't work for me:

- Madam and Eve (see other thread)

- Geek and Poke
Could not find the error with a quick check. Maybe there is more than one image that fits the definition?

- The new adventures of queen victoria
This seems to work. Only normal sized image, though.

Code: Select all

<Definition Name="The New Adventures of Queen Victoria" LatestComicUrl="" ComicImage="displaystrip.php" />
- Bizarro Blog
Right now, this does fix it:

Code: Select all

<Definition Name="Bizarro Blog" LatestComicUrl="" ComicImage="/files/" />

Hi Joseph, are you still reading this forum?

Queen Vic's page is down, but the comic is also on Gocomics:
Comic: Definition:

Code: Select all

<Definition Name="The New Adventures of Queen Victoria" LatestComicUrl="" ComicImage="assets.amu.+width" />
While the server is down, Comica is getting into a loop trying to look for an update. Maybe you could implement a rule that stops any effort after three attempts.

"Geek and Poke" is still not working, I'm guessing it's because more than one image on the page matches the search.
How could this be handled? Take only the first match?

....Just saw an error in the official Comics.xml:

<Definition Name="Arlo & Janis" LatestComicUrl="" ComicImage="assets.amu.+width" />

There is no & in the url. It's

The ComicImage doesn't work anymore, too. See the other thread.

Hello again!

For a few days now, XKCD is not downloading. I had a very quick look at the source but could not find the problem. Could you please check when you've got the time?

The current XKCD def is

Code: Select all

<Definition Name="XKCD" LatestComicUrl="" AltText="Title" StripStrings="//" ComicImage="/comics/" Data="*" />
The HTML looks like ComicImage="/comics/" should still be OK.
I don't know what the "StripStrings" or "Data" mean, but removing them does not make Comica retrieve the comic.
