Slightly Damned

In release #159 this comic definition has been removed on account of it being unfixable...
I'm not entirely sure what the previous definition was before or what is meant by "unfixable" but I whipped up a definition from their main site that seems to work fine:

Code: Select all

<Definition Name="Slightly Damned" PublisherUrl="http://www.sdamned.com/" LatestComicURL="http://www.sdamned.com/" Rating = "Everyone" ResolveToRootAndCombine="true" ComicImage="/comics/[0-9]{4}-[0-9]{2}-[0-9]{2}\.(jpg|png|gif)$" />
Is there some other reason for it being removed from the default list?

And on the same note, a couple other comics have been removed for reasons unbeknownst to me, and I was able to make functional definitions with little to no problems... Might as well list them here - they were all removed from the default list for one reason or another:

Code: Select all

Femmegasm
<Definition Name="Femmegasm" PublisherUrl="http://www.aorange.com/" LatestComicURL="http://www.aorange.com/" Rating = "Everyone" ResolveToRootAndCombine="true" ComicImage="/comics/[0-9]{4}-[0-9]{2}-[0-9]{2}\.(jpg|png|gif)$" />

Evil Diva
<Definition Name="Evil Diva" PublisherUrl="http://www.evildivacomics.com/" LatestComicURL="http://www.evildivacomics.com/" Rating = "Everyone" ResolveToRootAndCombine="true" ComicImage="/comics/[0-9]{4}-[0-9]{2}-[0-9]{2}.*\.(jpg|png|gif)$" />
Were they removed because their current definitions were incompatible or something?

Hi Garlandicus,

comics are only removed if attempts to fix them aren't successful. For example, Slightly Damned's server appears unreachable, and Femmegasm has a (server-side) database error. Evil Diva is working (thanks!); chances are it was broken when the entire database was tested, but the comic recovered afterwards.

I now do tests every few days (instead of every other day) to give some comics a chance to recover, but of course this can result in stale entries being present for a small amount of time.

If you believe a comic was removed in error, you can use the Suggest Comic feature to save time and bring it to my attention. I'll then go through the usual adding/testing process and it'll make an appearance on the next database push.
